During the months of June, July, and August, Barcelona Pro Tennis Academy (BPTA) offers its Summer Tennis Program, an international experience designed for players who wish to improve their competitive level training in a professional environment.
Located in Barcelona, one of the cities with the greatest tennis tradition in the world, the academy offers a unique environment where players can train with the methodology of the renowned Spanish tennis system, which has formed some of the best players on the international circuit.
This program combines intensive training, specific physical preparation for tennis, and real competition situations, within an international atmosphere where players from different countries share the court and the passion for tennis.
The objective of the program is to offer a complete experience that allows each player to develop their sporting potential while living a unique experience in Barcelona.
Program Structure
Training is organized into two daily court blocks (morning and afternoon), complemented by specific physical preparation for tennis.
During the week, players participate in:
Intensive training on court
Technical and tactical development
Specific physical preparation for tennis
Real match situations
Supervised matches with feedback from coaches
Mobility, prevention, and recovery work

A complete tennis experience
The complex also features a modern high-performance gym, heated swimming pool, restaurant and common areas for athletes and families, as well as a medical and physiotherapy center specialized in elite sports.

What age groups do you offer?
We run two junior categories:
- Junior Development (8–12 years)
- Junior Performance (12–18 years)
What skill levels do you accept?
All levels are welcome — from beginner to competitive. Players are evaluated on arrival and placed in the right group.
What does a typical training day include?
A balanced schedule of:
- Technical & tactical on-court training
- Fitness, coordination, and mobility work
- Match play and competitive drills
- Cool-down and recovery sessions
Training intensity is adapted to each age group.
What program options are available?
- Full-time annual programs

Do you offer academic support for full-time players?
Yes. We partner with international and online schooling options to ensure players balance education and training.
Do you offer boarding or accommodation?
Yes. We manage accommodation for all players, always adapted to their age and individual needs.
Younger players are placed in supervised, age-appropriate housing, while older players may have more flexible accommodation options.
We handle the full process — from selecting the right accommodation to coordinating daily logistics — to ensure safety, comfort, and an ideal environment for training.
Do you provide airport transfers?
Yes. We offer Barcelona (BCN) airport pickup and drop-off for all participants.
What languages are used in training?
Coaching is delivered in English and Spanish. Additional staff languages include Catalan, French, and Russian.
Do players need insurance?
Yes. Participants must have valid medical and travel insurance for the duration of their stay.
What should players bring?
- 2–3 rackets
- Tennis shoes
- Training clothes
- Water bottle and sunscreen
- Personal medical items (if required) All training equipment is provided by the academy.
How do you monitor progress?
We use:
