Barcelona Pro Tennis Academy (BPTA) is an international high-performance tennis academy based in Barcelona, created to develop players within a professional, demanding, and competition-driven environment. The academy is designed to respond to the real requirements of modern professional tennis, offering a setting where ambition, discipline, and excellence define daily work.
A Strategic Alliance at the Highest Level
BPTA maintains a highly significant international cooperation agreement with the Chinese Tennis Association, the Real Federación Española de Tenis, and the Federació Catalana de Tennis. This framework establishes a solid institutional foundation that connects federations and academy under a shared vision of excellence and long-term development.

This strategic alliance enables close and coordinated collaboration with the objective of elevating quality standards to the highest international level. Through this structure, BPTA actively contributes to the creation of a unique high-performance ecosystem in Barcelona, offering structured development pathways for players and coaches and establishing a reference model in Europe for international tennis development.
Training at the Highest Competitive Level
Within the academy, players with international projection train on a daily basis in a highly professional environment, designed to meet the physical, technical, and mental demands of elite competition. Among them is Zheng Qinwen, one of the most prominent figures on the world tour, whose presence reflects the competitive level and ambition of the academy.
A Proven Training Model
After four years of continuous development in Spain under the guidance of Pere Riba, she has achieved the highest ranking of her career and captured Olympic gold at the most recent Olympic Games. Her progression clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of the training methodology applied at BPTA, as well as the academy’s ability to support elite athletes through the most demanding stages of their professional careers.
